Welcome to The Gathering!

Discover the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, in the buff, in a rustic summer camp setting.

With up to 800 guests, our flagship annual Gathering is the world’s largest all-nude event. It’s open to all gay, bisexual, and gay-friendly men who are at least 21 and a current member of GNI.

The Gathering (officially known as The Annual International Gathering of Male Naturists) is the largest organized nude rendezvous in the world. What began as a small group of 40 fellows in 1985 now attracts up to 800 men annually. Since the early 1990s we’ve been letting it all hang out at a spacious, 350-acre summer camp in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

While most campers hail from the U.S., we welcome guests from around the world including Canada, Europe, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. For most of us, The Gathering is more of a reunion than a vacation, with many familiar faces returning every year.

Meals are served in two large dining halls, each with a large stone fireplace and an outdoor campfire to warm your bits on cool Pocono nights. The property also includes a 13-acre lake, two heated swimming pools, an auditorium, a phenomenal nightly dance club, and countless recreational opportunities. The camp does offer limited WiFi, although the network is unsecured and we can’t offer technical assistance.

For your own security, we won’t disclose the specific location until we have received your registration form and payment, but then you’ll receive a full package including maps, driving directions, a checklist of what to bring, and a lot of FAQ’s. For those flying in, Newark is the preferred airport, and we provide limited bus service from Newark airport and Manhattan.

The Gathering is an extremely successful event from year to year and we realize that we can’t do this without the wonderful help of our volunteers and sponsors. All of the activities and events that take place throughout the week are facilitated by a large number of volunteers who do what they do, not for money, but for the love of the organization. GNI recognizes their valuable contributions in time and energy and knows that the success of every GNI event is due to them. This is also true of our sponsors who also bring us quality programming and offers our members products of interest to the male naturist community. We encourage our members and the public to support the organizations and businesses that support GNI and you can find a listing of sponsors here. This year, our top sponsors of LeatherWerks, Naturist Action Committee, Naturist Education Fund, and others will be joining us throughout the week. Stop by their workshops and participate; you’ll learn a lot. Or visit their websites and purchase products, book rooms at their resorts, etc. Your support of them allows them to continue supporting GNI.

Check out this year’s schedule to see what kind of activities we have planned throughout the week. View it on your computer or smartphone to see how much fun we have!

Body Electric Workshop

Click here to register online for The Gathering

The next GNI Gathering will be held August 18 – 27, 2017.

GNI is once again offering the Celebrating the Body Erotic (CBE) introductory workshop by The Body Electric School during the Early Arrival weekend (August 18 – 20, 2017). We’ve offered CBE during the past four Gatherings and they’ve been a huge success!

The Body Electric School workshops can help you experience your potential as a fully-integrated, loving, and self-aware being through personal growth exercises, touch, massage, conscious breath, and honoring the wisdom of the body.  Come experience deeper, conscious connection with men in a safe, healthy, and playful setting.  We raise erotic energy, but this is not sex.  Most men find this work to be rejuvenating, uplifting, and healing.

Watch the CBE video clip on the Body Electric homepage or on YouTube.

Read more information about the CBE workshop here.

Questions? Contact the BE local coordinator, Nick Padilla, at

CBE is a great way to begin your Gathering. The CBE workshop will be held on Early Arrival weekend, from Friday to Sunday, August 18 – 20, 2017. It starts with an evening session on Friday, and continues all day Saturday and Sunday. Workshop participants should plan to arrive at The Gathering before dinner on Friday, August 18 with a commitment to attending the entire workshop. It will be an experience you will never forget!

The course will be led by Dave Allen, Body Electric faculty member. You can read his bio here.

The class size is limited, so please sign up as soon as possible. This workshop filled to capacity last year.

The workshop tuition is separate from The Gathering registration fee, but GNI members qualify for a discounted tuition of $548.25 (15% off). New to GNI? A complimentary, trial membership to GNI is included for those attending the Early Arrival Weekend option (for any participant that isn’t already a GNI member), good through August 31, 2017, so new members coming just for the workshop can receive the tuition discount, too. (If you extend your stay at The Gathering after the workshop or registered for the Early Arrival & First Half or Early Arrival & Full Week option, you will need to purchase a standard GNI membership of $40 if you’re not already a current member.)

Some tuition assistance may be available based on need.  Contact the BE local coordinator, Nick Padilla, at

To attend the CBE workshop, you must choose a Gathering attendance option that includes Early Arrival weekend. Gathering prices include housing, all meals and beverages, and regular Gathering programming, activities, and entertainment.

We encourage our regular Gathering attendees coming for Early Arrival to sign up for this workshop. Workshop participants coming only for the workshop may decide to stay on at The Gathering and upgrade to any of the regular Gathering attendance options.

Below is a summary of the attendance options open to CBE participants. For the full list of attendance options for The Gathering only, visit the GNI pricing page.

Check out this year’s schedule to see what kind of activities we have planned during the week. View it on your computer or smartphone to see how much fun we have!

Show us your brain: Daytime Workshops

Topics include men’s health issues, legal issues affecting naturists, relationships, leather/kink workshops facilitated by LeatherWerks, and a number of of interesting discussion topics or lectures. Nature hikes and other workshops round out the educational activities.

Naked Yoga Immersion
Naked yoga has long been a staple of Gathering programming, along with other health and wellness offerings. Each year, we are having more yoga than ever before. GNI has lined up talented yoga instructors, some of them certified, to teach nearly two dozen classes at The Gathering in a variety of styles. Get yoga class and faculty info.

Daily Diversions
Enjoy bridge, yoga, aerobics, volleyball, a fully equipped nude gym and weight room, canoe and drag races, oil wrestling or just relax at the pool and read a book.

Whitewater Rafting
This year, we are expanding the rafting options to our group giving everyone three (3) types of trips to choose from. Last year, we scheduled two Family Style rafting trips. It’s an 8-mile run of class I and II rapids, and has a touch of class III rapids; it’s ideal for everyone – beginners, groups, and older adults. This year, we are going to offer one (1) Family Style rafting trip on Thursday, August 24 for the same cost of $55 each.

In addition to the Family Style rafting trip, we’re introducing two more options, and both of them are very different experiences. On opening Saturday on the evening of August 19, we will be hosting a Moonlight Rafting trip. Moonlight Rafting is a nighttime experience like no other. Travel down 8 miles of the Lehigh River with the help of one of our professional river guides. Glow sticks on your raft provide helpful light for your voyage! Come back after your expedition and enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers. It’s the perfection combination of romance and adventure. Since you’ll be rafting under the moon with an in-raft river guide (you won’t have to do any of the paddling work yourself), when you’re finished, we’ll have an après party waiting for you (including wine, cheese, crackers, marshmallows, etc.) with a roaring bonfire. I’m told that since this is an evening event, nudity is allowed on the river. You can sign up for this option on the GNI registration form and the cost will be $100 each.

The second, new exciting rafting trip we will be offering is the Dam Release Whitewater. You’ll be surrounded by state park protected mountains while enjoying 12 miles and 4-5 hours of Class II, III whitewater rafting and breathtaking scenery. This is a fun, thrilling, and memorable whitewater rafting trip that everyone can do – no experience necessary! You’ll blast through over 17 rapids, laugh, get wet and have an amazing day outdoors. If you were on the river last year, imagine a longer route, more exciting rapids, and fun! Since the state park regulates water releases from which these trips can be scheduled, we’ll be offering this event on Saturday, August 26 for a cost of $75 per person.

These rates include all the necessary rafting equipment, life jackets, change rooms, shuttle service to/from the river and professional river guides, lunches, and moonlight party. There’s something for everyone and if your experience this year is like any of the guys who went last year, you’ll have the time of your life! .

New York Excursion & Tour
For the first time, GNI is introducing an OPTIONAL pre-Gathering excursion to New York prior to the start of The Gathering. Since so many travel long distances and we have the benefit of being so close to New York City, were creating an opportunity for you to spend two (2) days in New York before the camp opens on Friday, August 18!

Your tour will commence on Wednesday, August 16, led by the lovely host, Josh L. who’s planning an exciting fun-filled tour around the city before you catch the Manhattan bus and ride to camp. Plan to arrive no later than 2:00 pm (EDT), check in to your hotel, and Josh will lead a group around the city seeing the sights on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning.

Days / Times:
Wednesday, August 16, 2:00 pm to Friday, August 18, 2:00 pm

GNI has arranged for reduced pricing at Colonial House Inn in Chelsea. Call Colonial House Inn to book your room; there are four rooms of various rates to choose from. Mention that you’re with GNI and you’ll receive a 10% discount. Besides being close to many gay bars and various sights to see, Colonial House Inn also has a clothing-optional roof for you to enjoy! Contact Colonial House Inn at (212) 243-9669 and ask for Tony.

Things you’ll see:
Josh is planning to take you on a great tour of the city; we won’t tell you all of the details of the itinerary but were sure you’re going to love what he has planned to show you! We can tell you that you’ll be visiting the Statue of Liberty, One World Observatory (Freedom Tower), Stonewall Inn, and then on Thursday evening, you’ll conclude the tour with a private naked party hosted by one of GNI’s own members, Roger G. On Friday afternoon, Josh will take you to the pickup location for the Manhattan bus. Everyone will board the bus and embark to camp!

If you sign up for the New York excursion, you will receive complimentary round trip bus rides to / from Manhattan!

To reserve your spot on the tour and to give us a head count for the number of tickets we need to purchase for the various sights that charge an entrance fee (these sights encourage tourists to pre-book ticket purchases weeks in advance), simply click on the box on The Gathering registration form by July 15, 2017. Once tickets to the various sights are purchased, we are unable to issue you a refund.

The cost of the tour is $68.50, but keep in mind that you will be responsible for your hotel, food, and beverages.

We hope that you consider taking advantage of this offer; we think many will enjoy seeing New York led by one of its own residents. Josh will be joining us at camp so we know you’re bound to have a good time.

Social Hours, 5 – 6-ish PM daily
Savor wine, beer, soft drinks, select mixed drinks, and snacks in a beautiful lakeside setting. Every party has a theme, and costumes are encouraged! So plan ahead and undress to impress! Naked is also a totally acceptable costume at all of our themed social hours! While this event can be an eyeful, please respect GNI’s photo policy.

Member clubs are invited to ‘sponsor’ a social hour. There is no cost to you and we provide the beverages and snacks. We simply need at least two (2) members manning the wine bar at any given time. In exchange you can hang your banner, set out brochures, hand out invitations to cabin parties and your sponsorship will be mentioned in The Daily Informer. We even let you pick the theme! To see this years’ lineup of themes, click here: Social Hours. Let the Business Office know if you’re interested in sponsoring a night.

The Sunset Strip
Evening activities include nightly shows, contests, parties, movies, snacks, and the world-class Dance Club – with an impressive sound system and light show – into the wee hours.

Evening Entertainment
Evenings feature talent shows and pageants such as Miss Lace and the the Mr. GNI contest. These are well-produced events that are sure to entertain and delight you. Our Mr. GNI Leather, Mr. Bare Bear contests will also be held at other times. There’s also a nightly movie series after the main show.

We’ll also hand out prizes and awards throughout the week.

Big Bids: The NAC Auction
To help raise funds for the Naturist Action Committee (NAC), bring us an item you’d like to donate, and help us fetch top dollar for it through our silent auctions. Bob Morton, NAC Executive Director, will speak to the group about the anti-nudity opposition NAC works hard to overcome, including legal issues and nude beaches. We encourage you to make a donation to this important organization.

Trae Crowder – a.k.a “The Liberal Redneck – will be joining us on opening Sunday, August 20, 2017 for a show you should not miss!

This was an old summer camp for kids that has been updated to cater to professional organizations, corporate retreats and adult groups.

Have a blast in one of 70+ cabins that house 8-18 men each (the average cabin holds 8-10 men). Beds and mattresses are provided, and can be arranged any way you like. Camp staff is available to help get your gear to your cabin or campsite.

Each cabin has full bathroom facilities and begs for your designer touch (we can lose the clothes, but we can’t lose the gay gene).

Tents / RVs
We have spaces for Tents & RVs. Sewer, water, and electrical hookups are not available, although you will be assigned nearby shower and bathroom privileges. Each member in your tent or RV must register separately.

Hotel and Offsite Housing
If rustic thoughts give you a rash, why not stay in a nearby hotel and join us for daily activities? Room and commute charges will be your responsibility, and no fees will be deducted, but some of us can’t put a price on luxury! Contact our Business Office to learn more.

Information sent to or from your device can be captured by anyone else with a wireless device and appropriate software, within the range of the access point. We cannot provide technical assistance and are unable guarantee a wireless connection.

The Gathering site takes place in the Pocono Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania. Evenings can be cool, and it may even rain, so plan accordingly. Forecasts will be posted daily on the information board by the camp’s main office.

Registration fees cover all your expenses for the week. There is no need to bring large sums of cash, although you may want to shop at the GNI Craft Fair or purchase something at the Naturist Action Committee (NAC) auction. Credit cards are accepted at the GNI store and auction. Please leave valuables at home as we do not provide a safe, locked room, or secure area. You can, however, purchase a portable safe at a nearby office supply store and keep it with you in your cabin. You are responsible for your own security.

I have read, understand and AGREE to all of GNI's published Terms & Conditions to register for the GNI Gathering.

GNI Print Kiosk

Welcome to the GNI Print Kiosk

GNI will again be using the EventMobi app (accessible from your smart phone or laptop) to provide all of our members with real-time access to schedule and other important information. This app is the best way to get up-to-the minute information and last-minute schedule changes. You can access the app on your smartphone or mobile device at However, some members have requested access to printed copies of our daily schedule, The Daily Informer. To accommodate everyone, we have developed the GNI Print Kiosk!

You can use the GNI Print Kiosk to print your own personal copy of The Gathering schedule! You may use this feature as often as you like. But please note: to ensure you have the most up-to-date information available, we do recommend that you wait until 24 hours prior to the day you want to print to ensure you get the most current information available as new activities are added on-the-fly, locations and times may change, etc.

The Print Kiosk is available for public use 24/7 at The Gathering found in Left Dining Hall. Please note that this computer and printer will be limited to printing the daily schedule and cannot be used for personal web surfing, email, or office work.

Registration Help

Men who are attending The Gathering must pre-register, regardless of the attendance option. We’ve relaxed our rules on “day passes” but want you to know that a “day pass” consists of one 24-hour period and is charged as a flat rate fee. The daily rate is published in the Gathering section of the GNI website. Even if you want to come for a few hours, a full day rate is assessed; there is no proration of rates.

You are free to arrive or leave any time during the period for which you are registered. Discounts or refunds cannot be prorated nor issued for any unused portion of time that has been paid. Unused time is also not transferable to any person.

No. There are no discounts for couples and there will be no additional discounts offered during our registration season. The prices posted will remain in effect, up to and including, the start of The GNI Gathering.

No. Unused portions of time are not transferable to any person. A full week attendance option may not be shared by two individuals. Each must register separately for the period of time he intends to stay. There is no financial benefit to paying for a full week and splitting it between two individuals. Our pricing structure is based on a flat day-rate amount on any given day.

You will receive an e-mail from the Business Office letting you know that your Confirmation Documents have been uploaded to your Directory profile within a few days after receipt of your registration form. We encourage you to mail your registration materials to the Business Office by Certified Mail in order to ensure that your forms have been received. If you register online, you receive immediate confirmation upon submitting your form that your registration has been received by the Business Office – this initial confirmation does not confirm your Gathering attendance, but only that your registration has been received. We encourage you to print your online registration confirmation from your computer for your own records.

Unless there is a problem with your registration form or form of payment, you will not be notified that your registration form has been received in the Business Office if you mail it to GNI. Your official notice of receipt will be the issuing of your Confirmation Documents unless you send your registration form via Certified Mail.

You can expect to access your Confirmation Documents in your personal online profile in GNI’s Member Directory within a few days after the Business Office receives your registration form; most are issued within 24 hours.

No, your housing location will not be provided to you until you arrive at camp and receive your registration packet materials. Remember, there are no guarantees for specific housing requests especially if you’ve made a request after the published cabin-housing deadline (usually July 15); thus, your Confirmation documents will not confirm your housing.

No, your Confirmation Documents confirms your entrance into camp, only. It will not confirm with whom you will be housed, even if you’ve requested to be housed with a particular person(s) or group.

Yes, as long as there are no objections from your cabin mates and the cabin allows for beds to be moved.  Some cabins have movable shelves that allow beds to be placed together, while other cabins have shelves that are permanently installed and cannot be moved.

Yes. All of GNI’s transactions are processed through a secure server. See GNI’s Security Statement for more information.

Sorry, no. If you took the Cancellation Guarantee ($49) at the time you registered, you will not be assessed this $119 cancellation fee.

All registrations received after July 15 until the start of The Gathering will be charged the posted rates on our Gathering Prices page.

Yes, only GNI members may attend our annual Gathering. You can become a member at the time you register for The Gathering by including your membership fee with your payment. You may also renew your membership at this time, if you desire. You do not have to wait until your membership renewal date in order to renew your membership. Memberships can be renewed any time.

If you register online, you will not have a need for a printed registration form. However, you will be able to find downloadable forms from this website. We encourage you to photocopy the registration form or forward the Registration Packet to your friends who may want to attend our Gathering as well.

GNI plans special events and/or activities during the week. If you would like to help defray the cost to GNI of special events, please indicate on this line and include the amount in your payment. All donations are always optional; they are never mandatory.

This fund was created to assist our international members who are attending The Gathering in need of defraying their additional cost for travel & currency exchanges. All donations are always optional; they are never mandatory.

Each group / club cabin has a Cabin Coordinator assigned to it. Your cabin coordinator will be responsible for arranging the housing in your cabin and he will communicate the group list to the Business Office. If you have questions regarding your group housing, please contact your Cabin Coordinator instead of the Business Office. If you want to be in a group cabin and are on your cabin coordinator’s list but do not register for The Gathering before July 15, you may not be placed in the group cabin of your choice. All group cabins are required to have their cabin mates registered for The Gathering by July 15. Registrants who do not register by July 15 may not be housed in their group cabin!

Of course! You may tent if the weather is nice or if you just want to find a private spot away from your cabin.

You are welcome to bring friends to stay in your RV. However, each person who attends The Gathering must register separately. Unregistered friends who plan to stay in an RV will not be allowed entrance into camp or will be asked to register and pay for attendance on the spot (an additional administrative fee of $100 will be collected for those that do not pre-register).

Access and complete the online Registration Form. The Business Office will contact you to plan the time, day and place for your activity.

Yes, you may. Send an e-mail to the Business Office and we will contact you to plan the time, day and place for your activity.

For any additional questions about registration for The Gathering, please contact the GNI Business Office.

There are two (2) ways to retrieve and print your Confirmation Documents. The first way is by far the easiest. Although the instructions below are for The Gathering documents, the exact same instructions are used for NakedFest documents.

The first and easiest way to retrieve your documents:

Once you log in to the Member Directory, look for the section on the landing page under the large photo on the “Welcome & Information Page” entitled, “You’ve Got Confirmation Documents.” Your documents for the Gathering will appear in this section. Click on the 3-letter PDF file (for example: ARK.pdf) next to the “Required Gathering Docs” on the left and print. The Optional Gathering Docs on the right are for informational purposes, only. Watch a short video to see how easy this is.

The second way to retrieve your documents:

  1. The second way to retrieve and print your documents requires you to log in to the Member Directory using your username and password. Once you’re logged in and are on the landing page entitled, “Welcome & Information Page,” click on “My Profile” in the main navigation bar.

  1. Your profile will open in a new window.  Please review this information and feel free to make any changes you need to at this time.  You may also choose another Username and Password.  Be sure to SAVE your profile.

  1. At the top of your profile under the “Expiration Date” field, you will see two (2) fields that look like this:

Required Gathering Docs: XXX.pdf   (The “XXX” will be replaced with your three-letter Confirmation Code.  The first letter of that code indicates which line to enter at the Gathering check-in for efficient service.)  Included in this section are DRIVING DIRECTIONS.

Optional Gathering Info: 2017GatheringInfo.pdf

4.  Click on the link ending in “.pdf” to the right of the label, Required Gathering Docs: and your document will open in Adobe Reader.  These documents are REQUIRED to bring with you to the Gathering.  You must have the pages marked “BRING THIS PAGE” with you when you arrive.  They are needed to check in at camp.  If you forget to bring these documents, you will be assessed a  $15 fee for printing them on the spot, which GNI will donate to the Naturist Action Committee (NAC). The link pdf, to the right of the label, Optional

  1. The link 2017GatheringInfo.pdf, to the right of the label, Optional

If you’re still confused, watch a short video to see how easy this is!

Housing Questions

You will receive your official housing assignment when you arrive at camp and receive your registration materials. It has been suggested that the Business Office should let attendees know in advance who is housed in their cabin. While this sounds like a great idea in theory, the GNI housing assignments are very complex and changes are made literally up to and including the day members check in. We don’t want to let people know where they may be housed only to inform them at later time that they’ve been moved for any number of reasons. There are no guarantees for specific housing requests and informing members where they are placed in advance acts as a guarantee.

These things happen for a variety of reasons. First, your friend may have registered after you or after the cut-off date for specific housing requests. Housing is assigned on a first-come basis so if he is not in the same cabin as you have requested, it may be due to the late submission of his registration. Or he may not have requested to be housed with you, but with someone else. GNI makes an effort to ensure housing requests are fulfilled, but due to the complexity of The Gathering’s housing accommodations, we cannot guarantee specific housing requests to anyone, especially if those requests are made after the cabin housing deadline of July 15.

Housing near the dance club may be due to the date the GNI Business Office received your registration form. Or it may be that you’ve requested to be housed with one or more friends. Since the majority of cabins are “club” cabins, in order to accommodate your special request, a cabin with sufficient space must be found. Oftentimes, it is the cabins nearest the dance club where new or small groups can be placed.

You can ask to be placed elsewhere but the availability of openings in a particular cabin or area of camp is affected by a lot of variables. You may see the Executive Director to assist you while at camp.

You may speak to any member of the GNI Staff or Board of Directors if you have a particular problem with a cabin mate. You will be able to recognize them by the BLUE name badge they will be wearing.

We will make accommodations available to guys who are tenting if inclement weather prevails throughout the week and we will announce what facility is available for them at The Gathering.

For any additional questions about housing, please contact the GNI Business Office.

Bus Questions

Contact Rick, GNI Executive Director, by emailing the GNI Business Office.

The airport is divided into two levels: the Upper Terminal level and the Lower Baggage Claim / Transportation level. Make your way to the Lowest Level of Terminal B, meet at Door #3. A map of Newark Airport will be included in your Bus Confirmation.

Yes, but only if your refund request is made in writing before August 1 (at that time, buses are fully paid for and we have paid for your seat).

Please submit your cancellation request in writing to the GNI Business Office via e-mail, by mail, or by fax at (954) 567-2070. Cancellation requests made by telephone cannot be processed. There is a $5 cancellation fee (per trip) for all cancelled bus reservations prior to August 1. No refunds are issued after August 1.

If you’ve paid for bus transportation by credit card, you will receive your refund within 10-business days. If you’ve paid for bus transportation by check or money order, your refund will not be processed until 30 days after the date of your request.

Yes, Bus Confirmation letters are issued around August 10. Your bus confirmation will include directions to the location where you need to meet the group as well as a map of the airport for you to find your way to the bus pickup location. Please do not contact the GNI Business Office prior to August 10 to inquire about your bus. If you don’t receive a confirmation by August 15, please let the GNI Business Office know at that time.

Please call your Bus Coordinator first or the GNI telephone number which will be forwarded to the Office Administrator. We will make every attempt to ensure the bus will not depart until everyone is present and accounted for, but we cannot guarantee that we will hold a bus if a flight is cancelled or delayed for a few hours. If you miss the bus, we can not accommodate individuals who can not make his scheduled bus and it will be up to you to get yourself to camp or to take a public transportation bus to Stroudsburg. If you arrive in Stroudsburg, you will be able to contact a local taxi service to pick you up from the bus station and to bring you to camp. Please do not call us and ask us to “send someone to pick you up;” we are unable to accommodate those requests. For more information about the bus service into Stroudsburg, please visit Martz Trailways. In order to take public transportation into Stroudsburg, you will need to get from Newark Airport to Port Authority in lower Manhattan.  For rates and information about taxi service, visit Pocono Cab Company. Please do not call and ask us to “send someone to pick you up;” we are unable to accommodate those requests.

The bus ride from Newark Airport is approximately 2 hours, depending upon traffic, road construction, and weather conditions. You may add an additional 30 – 45 minutes for the bus ride to / from Manhattan in New York City. Please allow additional time to be processed through the security checkpoints at the airports.

A one-way trip on the bus costs $47 per person. Round trip is $94 per person.

If you register online at our web site, you will also be able to reserve a seat on the buses at the time you submit your registration. However, The Gathering Registration forms will include a form entitled “Bus Transportation”. Please fill this out completely and return it to the Business Office with your GNI Gathering Registration form and payment. Your bus fees will be included as an additional line item that you will pay for when you register for The Gathering.

Yes, you may.  GNI will make every effort to reserve a seat for you, but cannot guarantee that a seat will be available at a certain time if the registration is received late in the season. Payment for late bus registrations after July 15 will be taken by credit card or money orders, only.

Unfortunately, no. Clothing must be worn on the bus to and from camp.

Typically the bus will arrive approximately 10 – 15 minutes early. If you arrive before the bus does, please be patient and do not panic. The bus will arrive and a Bus Coordinator will be there to assist you with your questions and concerns.

The bus will wait as necessary, but typically not more than 5 – 10 minutes if you’re confirmed for a particular bus. This is why it is necessary to make sure that you either cancel or confirm your bus reservation; otherwise, the bus may be waiting for someone who’s listed to ride, but isn’t going to show. If there are numerous flight delays caused by weather conditions, strikes, or matters beyond GNI’s control, a bus may wait for a longer period of time to ensure that delayed passengers have a ride to camp.  Mobile phone numbers of the bus greeters will be provided so be sure to touch base with them if you are going to experience any delays.

If your flight does not arrive in Terminal B, you’ll need to take the Airport Passenger Train to Terminal B. Follow the signs in each terminal to locate the passenger train. Once you are in Terminal B, make your way to the Baggage Claim Lowest Level where parking is located (follow the airport signs to this area) and meet at Door #3. The bus will be parked outside of this terminal.

GNI recommends that you take a cab. The bus will meet everyone in New York City – downtown Manhattan near Grand Central Station – Hyatt Hotel, west side pickup on Lexington between 42nd & 43rd Streets. This location is within walking distance of Grand Central Station station. Click here for a map to this pick up location => Map of 43rd St & Lexington New York, NY.

There will be a bus greeter for each Newark Airport bus. He may be wearing a GNI t-shirt, baseball cap, or some other identifying mark. He will be found at the Baggage Claim, Lowest Level of Terminal B, Door #3. The bus greeter for Manhattan will also be wearing an identifying mark.

Yes. You may change your reservation as many times as you’d like up until two weeks before The Gathering is scheduled to begin, depending upon availability of seats for the time you are requesting. Be sure to contact the GNI Business Office for any changes. Changes made after August 10 may be assessed a $5 administrative change fee.

No. But your letter will have all of the information you need to catch the bus – name of the bus greeter, mobile phone number, pick up location, time, etc.. There is also a map of the airport on the confirmation letter that you may find helpful in assisting you to locate the GNI group if it’s your first time attending our Gathering.

Typically, enough buses are dispatched to handle each departure at each location. There is one bus that will depart from the scheduled departure locations each day. Of course, the outgoing departure from camp has three (3) departure options.

You may bring all of your luggage on the bus, although the bus is nearly at capacity with baggage when most of the seats are full. We do ask that any smaller bags that can be carried on the bus (and stored overhead or under the seat) be taken with you to help ease the loading of the main cargo compartments under the bus. We suggest that, if you intend to bring a lot of items to camp and are registering to take the bus, you ship your items via a common carrier to camp.

To mail anything to camp, you will find mailing instructions and the address in your Confirmation Documents (required set).

For any additional questions about bus transportation, please contact the GNI Business Office.
