Discover the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, in the buff, in a rustic summer camp setting.
With up to 800 guests, our flagship annual Gathering is the world’s largest all-nude event. It’s open to all gay, bisexual, and gay-friendly men who are at least 21 and a current member of GNI.
The Gathering (officially known as The Annual International Gathering of Male Naturists) is the largest organized nude rendezvous in the world. What began as a small group of 40 fellows in 1985 now attracts up to 800 men annually. Since the early 1990s we’ve been letting it all hang out at a spacious, 350-acre summer camp in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.
While most campers hail from the US, we welcome guests from around the world including Europe, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. For most of us, The Gathering is more of a reunion than a vacation, with many familiar faces returning every year.
Meals are served in two large dining halls, each with a large stone fireplace and an outdoor campfire to warm your bits on cool Pocono nights. The property also includes a 13-acre lake, two heated swimming pools, an auditorium, a nightly dance club, and countless recreational opportunities. GNI does offer limited WiFi, although the network is unsecured and we can’t offer technical assistance.
For your own security, we won’t disclose the specific location until we have received your registration form and payment, but then you’ll receive a full package including maps, driving directions and a checklist of what to bring. For those flying in, Newark is the preferred airport, and we provide limited bus service from Newark airport and Manhattan.

BODY ELECTRIC RETURNS TO THE GATHERING!
GNI is once again offering the Celebrating the Body Erotic (CBE) introductory workshop by The Body Electric School during the Early Arrival weekend (August 16 – 18, 2013). We offered CBE for the first time at last year’s Gathering, and it was a huge success!
The Body Electric School workshops can help you experience your potential as a fully-integrated, loving, and self-aware being through personal growth exercises, touch, massage, conscious breath, and honoring the wisdom of the body. Come experience deeper, conscious connection with men in a safe, healthy, and playful setting. We raise erotic energy, but this is not sex. Most men find this work to be rejuvenating, uplifting, and healing.
Watch the CBE video clip on the Body Electric homepage or on YouTube.
Read more information about the CBE workshop here.
Questions? Contact the BE local coordinator, Nick Padilla, at philadelphia@b-e-school.com.
SCHEDULE
CBE is a great way to begin your Gathering. The CBE workshop will be held on Early Arrival weekend, from Friday to Sunday, August 16-18, 2013. It starts with an evening session on Friday, and continues all day Saturday and Sunday. Workshop participants should plan to arrive at The Gathering before dinner on Friday, August 16 with a commitment to attending the entire workshop. It will be an experience you will never forget!
FACILITATOR
The course will be led by Steve Schwartzberg, longtime Body Electric faculty member and friend of GNI. Read more about Steve here.
SPACE IS LIMITED!
The class size is limited, so please sign up as soon as possible.
WORKSHOP TUITION
The workshop tuition is separate from the Gathering registration fee, but GNI members qualify for a discounted tuition of $420.75 (15% off). New to GNI? A complimentary, trial membership to GNI is included (for any participant that isn’t already a GNI member), good through August 31, 2013, so new members coming just for the workshop can receive the tuition discount, too. (If you register to stay on at The Gathering after the workshop, you will need to purchase a standard GNI membership.)
Men under 35 receive a $100 discount off the full tuition, for a total of $395. (This is a Body Electric School discount and not related to the age discount offered by GNI. Body Electric discounts may not be combined.)
Some tuition assistance is available based on need. Contact the BE local coordinator, Nick Padilla, at philadelphia@b-e-school.com.

Or if you would like to make a donation, contact the GNI Business Office any time.

Are you interested in volunteering but really have NO idea what GNI needs to make The Gathering run great? We’ve put together a list of volunteer opportunities with short “job” descriptions for you to peruse. If there is a position that you’re interested in filling, please click immediately below to submit your interest.
Volunteer formA good number of the positions are filled on a “first-come” basis; however, there are a few positions that will be filled after interested candidates have submitted their form and the candidates have been either interviewed or screened by the Event Coordinator or position’s manager. Depending on the position, a successful candidate will receive either a Gathering reimbursement of some predetermined amount or a complimentary one-year, membership*. If there is an activity or event you would like to organize that is not listed, by all means, we are interested in hearing from you. Simply fill out the Volunteer Form with your idea and the Event Coordinator will be in contact with you to discuss your idea.
Once a listed position is full, no additional submissions will be taken. All decisions are final by the Event Coordinator or other named person. Changes will be made only if a volunteer cancels and vacates a position or other extenuating circumstances arise that are beyond a volunteer’s control.
Certain positions will have a post-Gathering evaluation conducted to determine a candidate’s performance and suitability for future consideration. Specific questions can be sent to the Event Coordinator.
The following positions are listed in alphabetic order. Either click on a link or scroll through the page to read more detail of what is required. Click on Return in order to jump back to the top of the page. Please note: if you’ve held a position in the past, it does not guarantee that you will automatically be awarded the position again; therefore, everyone is encouraged to submit their letter of interest on the Volunteer Form. All factors will be considered in determining who will be chosen.
* Memberships will be awarded after the successful completion of a volunteer’s time at the conclusion of The Gathering.
