Through the Grenadines aboard the S.V. Mandalay
• March 9-15, 2014: St. Lucia round trip — or stay aboard and take the next one, too:
• March 16-22, 2014: St. Lucia to Grenada
Ports of call: First week — St. Vincent, Canouan, Anse La Roche, Petit St. Vincent, Tobago Cays. Second week — Bequia (“BEK-way”), Union Island, Meyreau, St. Vincent, Tobago Cays.
With GNI as sponsor, Source Events continues the tradition of gay cruises with these nude voyages on the vintage tall sailing vessel Mandalay. A new owner, Windjammer Sailing Adventures, refurbished this majestic schooner in 2012. Although unrelated to previous owners, the line is committed to restoring the best ‘Jammer traditions, such as rum swizzles, captain’s story time, bare feet on teak decks, and optional participation in raising the sails to the stirring strains of Amazing Grace, to name just a few.
Inaccessible to large cruise ships, the Grenadines are a yachtsman’s dream of exotic islands, charming harbors, quaint shops, bars, and cafés, deserted beaches, and smooth sailing. These cruises sail back to back — travel on one or the other, or take both for a 13-night voyage! The ship currently accommodates up to 58 passengers (at double occupancy) for an intimate, private yacht experience.

GNI launched the Naked Getaway™ weekend in 2007 as a holiday for men with only a few days to get naked. These events are held in cooperation with local gay naturist clubs and clothing-optional resorts.
• June 7-9, 2013: “Taboo” (All welcome, i.e., mixed crowd. Our friends from South Florida Free Beaches are co-sponsors.)
• July 19-21, 2013: “Nude Beach”
Clewiston, FL
“N-VS” (pronounced, “envious”) stands for Naturists at Vitambi Springs (Florida Wilderness Camp & Resort). GNI is a promotional partner with Nude Devil’s Garden Enthusiasts (NUDgE), the resort’s own naturist club, for these male-only (except as otherwise noted), naturist weekends with expanded nudity policy*, so expect some of your GNI and local club brethren in attendance. Day visitors are also welcome. The long-awaited pool is now being enjoyed by guests. There’s just a little construction going on nearby in the Garden Quarter, so the opening hasn’t been formally announced.
* Nudity policy: During designated N-VS weekends only, nudity is permitted anywhere within the gates except inside Big Oak Lodge (which houses Registration, Bolo Café, Bongo Bar, Safari Outfitters General Store, and administrative offices), where a minimum of a wrap (e.g., sarong, towel, etc.) must be worn over the mid-section of the body at all times without exception, per county health department requirements.
On all other dates, minimum cover as described above is required everywhere in the North Loop (see map) at all times without exception. As marked by signs, clothing is optional in the South Loop. Full awareness of and compliance with the nudity policy will provide a more comfortable experience for all.
Some of these weekends feature the following, with more to be added:
Discount for current GNI members: Book and stay three consecutive nights and get the third night free. You must present your current GNI membership card at check-in for validation. If you are a GNI member and have Monday or Friday off, take advantage of this offer and stay a third night at no additional charge for your lodging! Otherwise, JOIN GNI now to take advantage of this deal.

Gay and lesbian chambers of commerce (sometimes called business guilds) exist to promote their members’ businesses, which typically include all or most of the gay or gay-friendly resorts in their areas. Always consult such resources, if they exist in the area where you will be traveling.
Gay and lesbian community centers (U.S., Canada, and a few others or worldwide) also offer some listings of local businesses, including resorts. Always consult such resources, if they exist in the area where you will be traveling.
Mainstream convention and visitors’ bureaus are becoming increasingly aware of the gay and lesbian component of their local tourism. Those in major cities and some lesser ones have begun to add a gay/lesbian section to their web sites, with a focus on accommodations. (If it’s not plainly identified, look for phrases including the words, “Rainbow,” “Pride,” or variants of “LGBT.”)
Local Pride organizations (InterPride members or worldwide) may also provide links to businesses, including resorts, since they realize that people may be traveling from elsewhere to attend their festivals and related events.
