GNI Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Discussions

Working to create meaningful change for underrepresented groups within the brotherhood of the GNI community.
 
The group started in response to incidents of racial unrest which escalated in the U.S. and around the world in 2020. Through multiple afternoon Zoom workshops, the DEI group has begun a dialogue with the goal of promoting positive interactions and friendships with men of GNI who are of various races, ethnic cultures, ages, body types, sexual orientations, gender identities, and interests.

The initial group is looking to expand its efforts and the ongoing dialogue to include more representation from the GNI community through the following:

• Additional Zoom workshop discussion groups with expanded members
• Participation at Orientation (“Meet-n-Greet”) events during Gatherings / NakedFests
• Present ourselves during evening shows at The Gathering / NakedFest
• Facilitate and encourage planned social interactions (e.g.; dinner hosts)
• Moderate workshops on inclusivity and camaraderie at GNI events
• Work with the board and staff to enhance GNI communications for inclusiveness
• Work with the Board of Directors to upgrade existing statements and policies to firmly support all male naturists who wish to join

A main steering committee will meet occasionally to discuss progress and provide feedback to improve its efforts.
